Volunteer Wellington | Te Puna Tautoko

Volunteer Wellington | Te Puna Tautoko is the champion of volunteering in Wellington, New Zealand Aotearoa!

We list volunteering opportunities from over 400 of our member community-based organisations in the Wellington region. The Greater Wellington Region includes Porirua City and Paraparaumu City on the Kapiti coast, Petone, Lower Hutt City, Upper Hutt City and Johnsonville.

We are independent and not-for-profit – sustaining the Wellington region with a voluntary workforce. We make connections and offer training and support to community organisations – creating and promoting positive experiences for volunteers and community organisations in Wellington.

We list three types of voluntary roles – a voluntary role, a short-term voluntary role (time required is less than a couple of weeks) and a skilled voluntary role.

Skilled voluntary roles are offered to volunteers registered with us whom have specifically indicated they would like to use their specialised skill-set to benefit Wellington-based community organisations.

  5. Hi to all at Volunteer Wellington

I came across your site through my role as IT Angel for Volunteering Canterbury. I just wanted to give you some feedback on your site.

I love the look of it. I noticed you had the services of a Volunteer Graphic Designer. She has done a great job.

Great to see you have a link to Volunteering Canterbury’s blog. I noticed you called it Volunteer Canterbury could you change the wording to Vounteering Canterbury. Also the Canterbury is spelled incorrectly. Could you change this? Thanks.

I also noticed on your site that you had a forum in May to connect with youth. I wondered how that went? Part of my role here is to use our facebook page to attract youth volunteers. I would love to know what you learned from the meeting in the hope that could help us do a better job with youth and volunteering.

    All the best. Cindy Carmichael
