Come celebrate 2001 International Year of Volunteers + 10 this Valentine’s Day with Volunteer Wellington, Volunteering New Zealand and Cancer Society.

2011 marks the 10th anniversary of the United Nations International Year of Volunteers launched in 2001. It’s a year to reflect on the past decade plus increase promotion and support for volunteering – with passion, enthusiasm and love.

The celebration will be held at the Volunteer Corner garden on the corner of Dixon and Victoria Streets.

Mayor Celia Wade-Brown will be our guest speaker and there will be refreshments including gourmet coffee and chocolates, inspiring speeches plus entertainers to brighten up your morning.

So drop by on Valentine’s Day, Monday 14 February from 8am until 9.30am and bring a friend or two.
